Terms of Service

GeoNames.com lists premium geographic and service-based domain names that are available for purchase or lease. The site is for informational and inquiry purposes; listing a domain is an invitation to inquire, not a binding offer to sell.

• Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time without notice.
• A domain may be sold or withdrawn before your request is received or completed. A listing on the site does not guarantee availability.
• We try to keep listings accurate, but errors can happen. We may correct any pricing or listing error and cancel any request affected by it.
• Any savings or discounts shown apply only as described and only when confirmed by us.

Most purchases and lease-to-own plans are completed through GoDaddy. Those transactions, including payment, escrow and domain transfer, are also governed by GoDaddy's own terms and policies.

Offers and purchase requests submitted on this site are not binding on us until we accept them in writing. For any payment arranged directly with us, the domain is transferred only after payment has been received and confirmed in full. Ownership of a lease-to-own domain transfers only after all scheduled payments are completed under the lease terms.

Once a domain has been transferred to you, the sale is final and non-refundable, except where required by law or by the terms of the platform used to complete the transaction.

You are solely responsible for how you use any domain you acquire, including complying with all laws and making sure your use does not infringe anyone's trademark or other rights. We make no representation that any domain is free of third-party claims or suitable for any particular purpose. You are also responsible for renewing your domain registration after the transfer.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information or offers.
• Use the site for spam, harassment or any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, copy or republish our listings or content without written permission.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the site.

The GeoNames.com name, logo, website design and written content belong to us and are protected by law. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information you submit and is part of these Terms.

The site and all listings are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, search engine ranking, traffic or business results.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GeoNames.com and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site or any domain. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the domain involved in that claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless GeoNames.com and its owners from any claims, losses or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the site, your use of any domain you acquire, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms, the site or any domain transaction will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
